A report released Monday by the China Global Navigation Satellite System and Location Services Association (GLAC) indicates that by 2025, the total output value of China’s Beidou navigation industry will reach 1.33 trillion yuan (approximately $195 billion). This was reported by China Global Television Network (CGTN).

The Beidou industry spans fields such as remote sensing and geographic information systems (GIS), mobile communications, and indoor positioning. According to the report, by 2025, the output value of the satellite navigation industry is projected to reach 629 billion yuan (approximately $92 billion), representing a year-over-year increase of 9.24%.

The report notes that China has established a comprehensive Beidou industrial and supply chain, covering all aspects of the industry, including chips, modules, antennas, terminals, system integration, and application services. Domestic self-reliance capabilities are steadily increasing, and the cumulative shipments of Beidou-compatible chips and modules have reached hundreds of millions of units, providing strong support for a secure and stable industrial supply chain.

By 2025, domestic sales of Beidou-enabled devices will exceed 410 million units, and more than 2.2 billion Beidou-enabled devices will be in use nationwide.

Beidou's services and related products have been exported to more than 140 countries and regions.
